Seeking Licensed Addiction Counselor.  Current license preferred but will also consider license eligible applicants.

JOB DESCRIPTION–A Chemical Dependency Counselor provides a variety of basic counseling services and performs related duties.  He/she assists in the orientation and training of trainees and volunteers.  Travel may be required.


1.  Provide therapeutic counseling to a caseload of clients in accordance with all program requirements.  Work in all levels of treatment, including intensive outpatient, outpatient, aftercare, or transitional living facility, as assigned.  Conduct evaluations, placement assessments, and ACT education services, as required.

2. Accept assignments as necessary to provide 24-hour-7-day availability of services.

3. Participate in staffing and training sessions.

4. Provide services in intervention, confrontation, referral, transportation, and group/family counseling, etc.

5. Maintain and develop outreach activities as assigned (educational presentations, referral contacts, etc.).

6. Assist in orientation and training of new employees and volunteers.

7. Follow Standards of Conduct and Ethics requirements

8. Other duties as assigned and appropriate.
