Men’s Transitional Living Facility
The Men’s Transitional Living Facility (TLF) of Boyd Andrew Community Services is a recovery home for seven adult males and is located in a residential neighborhood in Helena. Residents of the TLF must meet ASAM placement criteria for 3.1 level of care, and be referred by a licensed addictions counselor (LAC), probation and parole officers, or self-referred.

The TLF consists of:
- Three double bedrooms
- One single room for the senior resident
- Two baths
- A full service kitchen
- Dining room
- Multi-purpose room
- Laundry center
- Limited storage is available on site
Resident responsibilities include:
- Planning and preparing meals
- Completing assigned daily house chores
- Attendance at two mandatory group therapy meetings per week on site
- Participation in one on one counseling on site
- Participation in additional outpatient treatment groups on a case by case basis
- Attendance at three community support groups per week.
Allowable personal possessions include:
- Seasonal clothing
- Seasonal footwear
- Hygiene products (no alcohol ingredients allowed)
- Cell phones
- Calling cards
- Pictures that can be posted on a bulletin board or on a dresser in individual room
- Big Book, bible, and/ or other meditation books
- Ceremonial objects (i.e. religious medals, Native American ceremonial objects such as eagle feathers, sage, etc.)
- Identification cards such as SS card, driver’s license, birth certificate
- Legal papers
- Cigarettes (smoking is allowed outdoors only)
- Vehicle (must be registered, licensed and insured) and the resident must have a valid driver’s license
- Prescription medications (30 days supply). Residents may not take opiate and narcotic medications.
- Over the counter medications
Items not allowed at the TLF include:
- Mood-altering substances
- Gang-related identified possessions
- Logos depicting alcohol, bars, or mood-altering substances
- Knives, firearms, weapons
- Personal furniture
- TV, video games or play stations
- Stereo equipment
- Pets
